He is survived by: his wife Helen Perry Watkins; his sons, William (Bonnie) of Boomer, Doug (Joy) of Taylorsville, Stephen Watkins and Ronald Watkins of Taylorsville; his stepsons, Roger (Marlene) of Wilkesboro and Doug (Barbara) of Millers Creek; his granddaughters, Charity, Lee (Dwight), Katherine and Katelyn; his stepgrandchildren, Kelly (David), Darrell (Jordan) and Marissa (Marty); and his sister Mildred McGuire of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
