He is survived by: his daughter Sally Hampton of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Katie Hackett, Michael Walker and Malcolm Walker; his great grandchild Journee Hackett; and his siblings, Elizabeth Murray (Ronnie) of North Wilkesboro, Carolyn Parks (Alan) of Lenoir and Harold Childress (Betsy) of North Wilkesboro.
