She is survived by: her husband Walter Shew; her children, Jessica Lomeli of Wilkesboro, Leander Ferguson of Wilkesboro and Kenneth Carlton of Georgia; her stepsons, Michael Shew of Wilkesboro, Jeff Shew of Wilkesboro, Timothy Shew of Wilkesboro and Warren Brown; and her siblings, Barbara McVay of Wilkesboro, Jeanette Lomeli of Wilkesboro, Evangelist Carline Horton of Lenoir, Minister Arthur Ferguson (Elizabeth) of North Wilkesboro and Joseph Ferguson (Liza) of Wilkesboro. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
