He is survived by: his wife Susan Rutledge Minton of Wilkesboro; his son Aaron Minton (Melissa) of Wilkesboro; his sister Janice Minton Cheek (Tam) of North Wilkesboro; his nephews, Joseph Cheek (Missy) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Thomas Cheek (Jordan) of Yadkinville; his great-nieces, Kaitlyn Brush (Ryan) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Makayla Garland (Noah) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sydney Cheek of Yadkinville and Madelyn Cheek of Yadkinville; and also, Lucy Brush of Murrells Inlet, SC. and Juliet Brush of Murrells Inlet, SC..
