He is survived by: his wife Karen Mathis Bumgarner; his mother-in-law Patty Mathis of North Wilkesboro; his sister-in-law LuAnn Johnson (Reggie) of North Wilkesboro; and his nieces, Breanne Hinson (Steve) of Knoxville, TN and Grace Johnson of North Wilkesboro.
