He is survived by: his wife Barbara White Johnston; his stepchildren, Melinda Eller Smith and William David Eller Jr. (Leah); his children, Andy Johnston (Brooke), Blaine Johnston (Melody) and Mary Lew Johnston; his grandchildren, Megan Diane Smith, Wills Eller, Bay Eller, Alex, Nick, Emmett and Hannah Johnston; and his brothers, William Bill Johnston (Tom), Joe Johnston (Debbie) and Keith Johnston (Amanda).
