He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Johnson and Nora Leona Brooks Johnson; and his siblings, Ben Johnson, Pearl Hussey and Marylee Hyder.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Johnson Jr. (Earnestine) of North Wilkesboro and Nora "Pauline" Johnson of North Wilkesboro; his brother Junior Johnson (Sarah) of Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Shawn Johnson, Travis Johnson (Shanna), Christopher Johnson (Faith Collins) and Joshua Dykes; and his great grandchildren, Madylen, Calvin, Avery Johnson and Annabelle Dykes.
