He is survived by: his wife Shirley Harris Griffin; his children, Mitch Griffin (Jamie) of Wilkesboro, Donna Griffin of Wilkesboro, Pam Shelton (Rick) of Creston and Angie Williams (Daniel) of Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Nathan Dancy, Garett Griffin, Dustin Shelton, Devin Barnette (Katie) and Harrison Shelton; his great grandchild Ethan Dancy; and his siblings, Rex Griffin (Shelia) of Wilkesboro, Louise Eller (David) of North Wilkesboro, Teresa Ray (Thomas) of Roaring River, Rhonda Woods (Chip) of Taylorsville and Rosetta Evans (Scott) of Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
