He is survived by: his daughter Lesa Cheek (Steve Gentry); his grandson Grayson Cheek of North Wilkesboro; and his great grandchild Sullivan Nickles of North Wilkesboro.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Miller Funeral Chapel (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
