She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Millus Nichols and Alice Genevieve Nichols; her husband Guy Anthony "Tony" Smithey Sr.; and her sister Abert Ducan. She is survived by: her son Guy Anthony Smithey Jr. (Billie) of Wilkesboro; her sisters, Francis Othelia Hall of Crouse and Judena Tucker of Concord; and her granddaughter Megan Roberts of Wilkesboro.
