He is survived by: his wife Juanita "Susie" Ellis Johnson; his children, Erica Smithey (Jamie) of Lancaster, CA and Michael Aaron Johnson (Jo Hanna) of North Wilkesboro; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Luke, Meredith Smithey, Reagan, Avery, Asher and Adam Johnson.
