She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard F. Nichols and Lelia Bishop Nichols; and her siblings, Mozelle Nichols, Luna Nichols Walker Watson, Jessie Wayne, Arnold, Carson, Paul and Bobby Nichols.

She is survived by: her children, Denise Michael (Tommy) of Wilkesboro and Billy Todd Cress (Lisa) of North Wilkesboro; her granddaughters, Jessica Michael, Jennifer Michael Day and Alexandria Cress; her great grandchildren, Taia Alexander, Kobe Alexander and James Thomas Day; and her sister Bernice Frazier of Gibsonville, NC..
