She is survived by: her children, Diane Dotson Shumate of Monroe and Samuel William Dotson III (Lisa) of Hays; her grandchildren, Jordan Shumate, Ben Shumate, Kara Dotson Gourley, Kristan Dotson Phipps and Wes Shumate; her great grandchildren, Elijah Gourley, Jackson, Landon Shumate, Logan Shumate, Cole Shumate, Clyde Shumate, Lindsay Shumate, Easton Phipps, Chipper Shumate, Ezekiel Phipps and Elliott Shumate; her siblings, Ruth Elledge Anderson of North Wilkesboro, Bryce Elledge of China Grove, Van Elledge (Jean) of Hickory and Dewey Elledge of Hays; and her siblings-in-law, Katherine Elledge, Judy Elledge and Ken Glass.
