He was predeceased by: his parents, Reese Allen Tatro and Beulah Washam Tatro; his daughter Hazel Tatro; his wife Judy Ann Williams Tatro; and his son Edward Tatro.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen Tatro of Asheboro, James Tatro (Lynn) of Climax, Russell Tatro (Diana) of Truckee, Wanda Fredericks of Climax and Kim Moore (Gary) of Wilkesboro. He is also survived by Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
