He was predeceased by: his parents, George Steward and Nadine Staley Sale; and his sisters, Carol Kurfees and Judy Huber. He is survived by: his children, Schae "Alex" Sale Mathis (Dylon) of Roaring River and Gabriel "Gabe" Sale of Wilkesboro; and his granddaughter Amelia Mathis.
