He was predeceased by: his parents, James Crate and Verna Foster Laws; and his former wife Bobbie Jean Laws. He is survived by: his wife Pat Lowe Laws; his children, Hope Laws Elliott (Jeff) of Denver, NC and Rick Laws (Belinda) of Purlear; and his granddaughters, Emily and Katherine Elliott.
