He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edmund Carrigan Sr. and Callie Lee Yale Carrigan; his wife Myra O'Neil McCachren; his daughter Jennifer Carrigan; his aunt Louise Carrigan Spruill (Edward R. Spruill); and his uncle Edward R. Spruill.
He is survived by: his sisters, Roseann Carrigan and Jennifer Carrigan; his daughter Roseann Dixon (Keith) of Hamptonville, NC.; his granddaughters, Alexis Blevins and Lilian Blevins of Moravian Falls; his sister Sylvia Pipes (John) of Moravian Falls; his niece Leia Walker (Craig) of Moravian Falls; his nephew John W. Pipes (Bretta Pipes); his great-niece Callie Stone (Dakoda); his daughters, Lilly, Sadie Mae and Caroline Walker (Caleb); and his great-nephews, Isaac and Micah Pipes.
Instead of graveside flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made in Mr. Carrigan's name to Wilkes Recovery Revolution, Inc. PO Box 893 North Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
