It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Anne Whittington of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on June 18, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Turner and Louise Bussell Lenderman; her husband David Lee Whittington; and her stepgreat-grandchild Khloee Faith Queen. She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Phillips of North Wilkesboro, Lu Anne Hudson of Winston-Salem and Cindy Smithey (Brian) of Moravian Falls; her grandchildren, Danny Phillips (Darla), Bobby Brooks and Elmon May; her stepgrandchildren, Robert Smithey (Tiffany) and Kendra Queen (Roger); her great grandchildren, David Phillips (Mariah), Brooke Phillips, Paige Phillips and Clementine May; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Landon Queen, Karlee Queen, Aiyden Queen, Kyley Mathis, Laina Smithey, McKalya Lawson, Thomas Tevepaugh and Chance Tevepaugh; and her great great grandchild Daniel Lee Phillips.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's Choice in memory of Jo Anne Whittington.
