With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Shumate (Wilkesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on September 4, 2019 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shumate and Maggie Lorraine Reavis Shumate; his wife Sallie Ann Parlier Shumate; and his siblings, Sue Miller, Bobbie Harless, Ruby Hamlin, Bessie Watson, Peggy Craven, Ralph Shumate, Rex Shumate and Ray Shumate.
He is survived by: his daughter Judith Shumate of Berkeley Springs, WV; his grandson Thomas Daniel of Wilmington; and his great grandchildren, Justin of Wilmington, Kaydence of Wilmington and Zoey of Wilmington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
