He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Wilcox and Ollie Wyatt Wilcox; and his sister Cindy Sturgill. He is survived by: his wife April Pearson Wilcox; his children, Beth Godbey (Jeremy) of Elkin and Jacob Wilcox of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Tanner Wabel, Brody Wabel, Holt Wabel, Jaxon Godbey, Ashtyn Godbey, River Wilcox and Luka Wilcox; and his siblings, Nettie Johnson (James) of North Wilkesboro, Betty Mash of Wilkesboro, Linda Newman of North Wilkesboro and Clyde Wyatt of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Chapel (270 Armory Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). An entombment was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel (545 Moravian Falls Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697).
