He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Joe and Vetra Estelle Chaffin Blackwelder; his wife Ruby Jean Sheets Blackwelder; and his siblings, Mary Woodward, Leslie Blackwelder, Hardin Blackwelder, Lloyd Blackwelder and Dwight Blackwelder.
He is survived by: his sons, Ron Blackwelder (Jennifer) and Steve Blackwelder (Anne) of Cabool, MO; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ard, Jared Blackwelder, Justine Reece, Jason Blackwelder, Esther Clinton, Emma Halbach, James Blackwelder, Rachel Palmer, Lauren Riley and Ethan Blackwelder; and his sister Coleen Brown. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
