She was predeceased by: her mother Minnie Huffman; her husband Paul Worth Royal; her brother Herman Huffman; and her sister-in-law Ann Yates. She is survived by: her children, Shirley Royal Pennington (Paul) of North Wilkesboro, Judy Royal Johnson (Rex) of North Wilkesboro and David Paul Royal (Sharon) of North Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Tim Pennington, Paula Inman, Beth McNeill, Brian Johnson and Jennifer Childress; her brothers, Ernest Junior Yates of Wilkesboro and Hobert (Diane Yates) of Purlear; and her sister-in-law Betty Huffman. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
