With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gyeral Bernard May of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Leonard May and Frances Keys May Waddell; and his stepfather Rudd Morgan Waddell (Rebecca Lauderback May). He is survived by: his children, Ryan May (Sally) of Mechanicsville, VA, Amber May of Portsmouth, VA and Stephanie May Chandler (Greg) of Smithville, MO; his stepsister Vicky Waddell Holbrook; his grandchildren, McKenna May, Landrey May (Ryan), Breonna May, Jaylyn May, Tycen May (Amber), Patrick Windsor and Megan Windsor (Stephanie); and his close friends, Debbie May-Beal and Verona Parker Williams.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:55 PM at the Loving Funeral Home Churchland Chapel (3225 Academy Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23703). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
