It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Staley of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Harless and Candis Miller Harless; and her husband Royal Staley. She is survived by: her children, Jane Blackburn (Jim) of West Jefferson, Philip Staley (Betty) of Millers Creek and Darrell Staley (Marlayne) of Wilkesboro; her sister Betty Severt of St. Augustine, FL; her grandchildren, Jamie Blackburn (Dawn), Candace Betbeder (Darren), Mark Staley, Laura Staley (Behrouz) and Meredith Staley (Emannuel); her great grandchildren, Savannah Blackburn, Mason Blackburn, Graysen Betbeder, Jillian Betbeder and Caroline Betbeder; and her caregivers, Martha Lester and Marilyn Parker.
