She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Englebert and Athaliha Beshears Englebert; her grandson William Thomas Carswell; and her brothers, Clayton, Hubert, Ronald, Bill and Gene Englebert.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas G. Vannoy; her children, Sherry Vannoy of Morganton and Larry Vannoy (Jan) of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Jason Thomas Vannoy (Katie), Keisha Allie Emerson (Joey), Joseph Calvin Henderson and Katie Ann Henderson; and her great grandchildren, Dax Odel Chapman, Kynnedi Chy Chapman and Kayble William Emerson.
