He was predeceased by: his mother Nell Church Welborn; and his siblings, Christine Cooper and Glenn Welborn. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Anderson Welborn; his children, Kimberly Hayes (Ken) of Wilkesboro, Josh Welborn of Wilkesboro, Junior Welborn (Annette) of Purlear, Mickey Welborn (Sharon) of McGrady and Mike Welborn (Delores) of Moravian Falls; his brother Bryant Welborn (JoAnn) of Purlear; and his nephew Thad Anderson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
