With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Dove Carty of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, born in Abingdon, Virginia, who passed away on April 24, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Dove and Dosha Dove; her spouse Hoover Carty; her daughter Sharon Carty Kyle; her grandson William Keith Kyle; and her brothers, Jimmy and Homer Dove.
She is survived by: her daughter Esther; her son-in-law Lawrence Elledge; her son Todd; her daughter-in-law Doris Carty; her grandchildren, Kevin Kyle, Kim Shue, Laura Papsun and Adam Elledge; her stepgrandchild Chastity Kyle; and her sister Wanda LaBella. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family requests those attending to wear a mask.
