He was predeceased by: his father Elmer "Bud" Lee. He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Smith Sawyers Bennett of Siloam, NC; his stepfather Jack Norwood Bennett; his wife Juanita Hamby Sawyers; his children, Crystal Michelle Sawyers McMillan (Daniel) of East Bend, NC and Daniel Lee Sawyers (Genevieve) of Hillsborough, NC; his sisters, Jean Badgett of Mt. Airy and Jane Bennett of Siloam, NC; and his grandchildren, Isaac Warner McMillan and Maddox Genevieve Sawyers.
