He was predeceased by: his parents, William Marshall and Martha Ellen Church; his wife Waelean Colvard Church; his son-in-law Joe Steven Allred; and his siblings, Annie Church, Ruby Brown, Dollie Greene, Lilly Church, Bessie Church, Joe Church, Phillip Church, Lonnie Church, Numa Church, Aires Church, Logan Church, Leonard Church and Turner Church.

He is survived by: his son Kirk Church (Sandra) of Millers Creek; and his great grandchild Harrison Cheek. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
