He is survived by: his wife Teresa Gwenn Johnston Adams of Wilkesboro; his sons, Charles Christian Adams of Wilkesboro and Joshua E. M. Adams; and his brother John Chesley Adams. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and loving in-laws.
