Though Billy may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Welborn and Annie Ruth Welborn; and his son Danny Ray Welborn. He is survived by: his wife Tempa Hamrick Welborn; his son Mark Hamrick Welborn (Jamie) of Scottsboro, AL; his grandchildren, Brooke Welborn of Dallas, TX, Brayden Welborn and Cam Welborn; and his brother Tommy Ray Welborn (Ann) of Wilkesboro.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Reins - Sturdivant Chapel. The inurnment was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (5560 Mt Zion Rd, Ferguson, NC 28624).
