He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel McLean I and Alma Ruth Nelson McLean; his son Robert Mclean; and his siblings, Lillian Rupard and Danny McLean II.
He is survived by: his wife Cathrine McLean; his children, Lenna Billings of Yadkin County, Rusty McLean (Debbie) of Boone, Gary McLean (Nancy) of Lenoir and Larry Billings of Mt. Airy; and his sister-in-law Carolyn McLean. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
