She was predeceased by: her parents, Comie Mathis and Mettie Somers Mathis; her husband Hoover Campbell; her siblings, Dorothy Howard, Ettie Mathis, Blaine Mathis, Robert Mathis and Charles Mathis; her niece Patty Poplin; and her nephews-in-law, Tom Bumgarner, Tom Honeycutt, Vernon Poplin and Claude Roberts.

She is survived by: her niece LuAnn Johnson (Reggie); her sister-in-law Patty Mathis of North Wilkesboro; her great-niece Debbie Macy (Wade) of North Wilkesboro; and her nephew Oakly Wittkamper.
