She was predeceased by: her parents, James Horton and Julia Bauguess Grimes; her husband Richard Jerry Bumgarner; and her siblings, Lena Spears, Bertha Walker, Pearl Byrd, Jim, Brant, Chester, Dean, Cliff and Rob Grimes.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Cody (Alvin) of North Wilkesboro, Lisa Goforth of Wilkesboro, Ricky Bumgarner of Wilkesboro, Randy Bumgarner of Wilkesboro and Rocky Bumgarner of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Candy Dwyer, Tamara Bumgarner, Justin Bumgarner, Brandon Bumgarner, Maria Sotelo, Elizabeth Sotelo, Daniel Cody and Jake Cody; her great grandchildren, Haven Church, Brook Bumgarner, Lauren Bumgarner, Grayson Bumgarner, Hayden Bumgarner, Darrius Bumgarner and Isaac Bumgarner; and her brother R. G. Grimes of Hiddenite.
