He is survived by: his wife Edna M. Odiear; his children, James Douglas Odiear (Nancy) of Douglasville, GA and Sharon Carson (Phil) of Bryson City; his grandsons, Phillip Carson (Laura) and James Carson; his great grandchildren, Emmarie, Hattie and Faye Carson; and his siblings, Ethel Messer and Frankie Sutton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
