She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald F. Brooks and Theresa McCarthy Brooks; her husband Hershel Scott; her stepchildren, Jeffrey Scott and Patricia Anderson; and her great grandchildren, Millie Adkins and Stetson Strickland.

She is survived by: her children, Jack David Sterling, Lisa Castelli, Sherry Sawyer, Keith Scott, Teresa Scoggins, Valeria Scott, Michelle Strickland and Kenny Scott. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
