He is survived by: his mother Helen Jenkins of Bryson City; his wife Mary Wood Jenkins; his children, Mitchell Jenkins, Jr., Shelley Jenkins Lossiah (Billy), Bridgit Nations (Randy) and Craig Shuler; his grandchildren, Landon, Kylee, Brittany, Savanah, Hannah and Presley of Jasper, J. J.; and his siblings, Gail Anthony and Jody Jenkins. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
