She was predeceased by: her father Elias Smiley; her spouse Lee Henry Galloway; and her siblings, Carroll, Hubert, Venice, Ora, Mildred, Mae and Helen.

She is survived by: her sons, Keith (Thelma) of Lake Junaluska, Brian of Whittier and Lee of Whittier.

Edie donated three gallons of blood over her lifetime to the Red Cross.
