It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nelda May of Whitsett, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lawrence McCandless and Alene Short McCandless; and her son Harold Flake. She is survived by: her children, Butch Flake (Kathy), Wesley Flake, Jerry Flake (Penny), Kathy Ingle and Millie Landon; and her sister Dorothy McCandless. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
