She was predeceased by: her parents, Dawson Bracey and Rosa Bracey; her husband Franklin D Roosevelt Nick; and her grandson Brandon Letron Nick. She is survived by: her great grandchild Kumani Bethea; her children, Franklin Michael Nick Jr., James Willie Nick Sr., Betty Shipman (Billy), Phylis Nick, David Tillman Nick of High Point, NC and Sherman Lee Nick of High Point, NC; her grandsons, Alex (Voncille), Dominic (Alesha) and Antonio Bethea; her sister Phyllis Townsend (Roosevelt) of Bennettsville, SC; and her close friend Jackie Boykind. She is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.
