He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Craig Wilson Sr. and Georgia Waugh Wilson; and his sister Beverly W. McKeithen. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Griffin Wilson; and his grandsons, Wesley Waugh Wilson and Owen Craig Wilson III.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Lenoir, 309 Church Street, Lenoir NC 28645 or Caldwell Hospice, 526 Robbinswood Place, Hudson, NC 28638.
