It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Gene George of Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Willie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Willie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda B. George; his children, Jamaal Rashad George of Longs, SC, Wakenia Denise George of Leland, NC and Jay Keith George of Petersburg, VA; and his siblings, Larry Jackson of Whiteville, Jimmy Best of Maryland and Barbie Best of Griffin, GA..
Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church (2871 Chadbourn Hwy, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church (2871 Chadbourn Hwy, Whiteville, NC 28472).
