He was loved and cherished by many people including: his fathers, John Hinton Ashley and Ashley Electric; his grandfathers, Billy Wade, Willy Bill and Little; his wife Geneva Barnhill Ashley; his children, Lisa Ashley Harrington (Dan) of Sanford, NC, Kristen Ashley Hooks (Phillip) and John Christopher Ashley (Pam) of Whiteville, NC; his sisters, Shirley Ashley Bennett of Raleigh, NC and JoAnn Ashley Cooper of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Blake Ashley, Greyanna Ashley, Hallie Harrington and Lacey Harrington; his great grandchildren, Corbin Ashley and Abel Autry; and his brother-in-law Larry Barnhill (Betty Jo) of Raleigh. He was also cherished by several Nieces & Nephews.
