With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vivian Thompson White Lewis (Whiteville, North Carolina), who passed away on November 2, 2024 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Thompson and Annie Mae Thompson; her siblings, Oka Thompson Negley, Eugene Thompson, Bernard Thompson and Roger Thompson; her husbands, Willard Hanson White and William "Bill" Lewis; and her children, Robert White, Charles White and Patricia White McPherson.
She is survived by: her daughter Phyllis White Cron (Frank); her children-in-law, Billy McPherson and Ruth White; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Thompson. She is also survived by son eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKenzie Mortuary (112 Jefferson St, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Western Prong Baptist Church (167 Peacock Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at the Western Prong Cemetery.
