She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Steverson and Rebecca Gossett Steverson White of Springfield, S. C.; her husband David Keene Nix (D. K.); and her siblings, Robert, Roger Steverson and Jan White Reyes.
She is survived by: her sister Glenda Steverson Gurley (Wendell); her daughters, Rebecca Nix High (Les) of Whiteville, N. C. and Angela Nix Morales (Bob); and her grandchildren, Carly High McElwee (Nathan) of Raleigh, N. C., Margaret High of Chicago, Breland Morales Duderstadt (Michael) of Key West, Fla., Grace Morales of Tampa, Fla. and David Morales. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Whiteville United Methodist Church (902 Pinckney St, Whiteville, NC 28472).
