He is survived by: his wife Joyce S. Ward; his children, Rodney E. Shipman (Meeka) of Fayetteville, NC, Erika T. Ward of Raleigh, NC, Krystle M. Ward of Raleigh, NC and Shauna L. Ward of Concord, NC.; his sister Evelyn Blackmon of Lancaster, SC.; his grandchildren, Daquan McDaniel, JaQuan J. McDaniel, Jayla T. McDaniel, Kennedi M. Ward and Jamirian E. Shipman; his great grandchildren, Aubree R. McDaniel and Kannon I. Hunt; his godson Craig Yates; his cousin Tilman Inman, Jr.; his friend Larry Mayes; his niece Vanessa; and his nephew Walter Ward. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
