He is survived by: his wife Sonya J. Shipman; his children, Edward Remille Shipman of Raleigh, NC, Shaina Y. Hall of Cary, NC and Shawnee B. Jacobs of Durham, NC; and his siblings, Phyllis Wilson of Whiteville, Carolyn Smith of Bolton, NC and Cornelius Shipman of Whiteville.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (2290 Old N East Rd, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450).
