He was predeceased by: his parents, George Garrell of Washington and Floris Mildred Bowen Garrell; his wife Nellie Grey Todd Garrell; and his brothers, Gary Allen Garrell and Donald Eugene Garrell.
He is survived by: his children, Kellie Renee Garrell of Whiteville and Ricky Lamar Garrell (Lottie) of Clarendon; his sister Barbara G. Babson of Bladenboro; his grandchildren, Nathan Garrell (Lindsey), Tyler Williamson, Natalie Price (Stephen), Amanda Boswell (Cole) and Crystal Garrell (Tony); and his great grandchildren, Karleigh Grey Garrell, Harper Garrell, Brisson Patrick, Adrianna Patrick, Cameron Price, Isaac Renoso, Ariana Renoso, Telsia Boswell, Timothy Garrell and Ashton Boswell.
