It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Evans of Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 14, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Brady Foley and Nellie Jane Beck Foley; and her husband Charles Evans. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Natalie Paige Wallace and David Randall Bessent; her siblings, Harvey Mack Foley, Lucille Foley Jones, Irene Foley Boswell, Iva Dean Foley Powell and Thelma Foley Rogers; her nephew Elbert Leon Hilbourn; her daughter Rhonda Evans Wallace (Johnny) of Whiteville; her stepgrandson Jamie Wallace (Renee) of Cape Carteret; her stepgreat-grandsons, James Wallace and Robert Wallace; her nieces and nephews, Phyllis Boswell Long, Saundra Powell Creen, Deborah Powell Boswell, Brenda Jones, Tim Powell, Mike Powell, Pat Powell, Lewis Phillip Boswell and Alan Jones; and her pet Shadow.
