She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Ayteo and Annie Lou Walker Ayteo; her son Michael Calvin Strickland; and her brother Johnny Eugene Burgess. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer LeeAnn Strickland and Jonas Allen Strickland; and her sisters, Macie McPherson Batten and Dora Burgess Lance (Monroe). She is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
